Damn so the factory tune disturbs you.... Next...

Lol yes it does deeply. Stock is straight garbage and slow AF. Even on some of my most careless nitrous runs I’ve seen less than I full positive degree of knock. I would absolutely shit my pants if I saw what some of these other gentlemen have seen. **** I’ve even revved out to 8k rpm by accident and didn’t get any knock.

What everyone calls knock is not. The microphones are sensitive enough to hear erratic combustion and quell it before it actually becomes a knock. You are merely seeing a timing adjustment being manipulated on the fly.

Gunner, HEAT, PC. UP!!! Man I miss my tank, maybe that’s why I bought a SHO.

OP, hope you get the boost issue fixed!

So I guess when it is adding timing it is tuning it for me too? Works great since different gears use different timing sometimes and there is no table for that.......

You are clueless as to why I do things a certain way. If you can't run full timing with the full amount of boost, you have to back the boost down or you will melt the cats. See there's something else you didn't know. Let's keep going and see what else you obviously need to learn.

LOL your arrogance is too much dude. Really, I'm like uncomfortably embarrassed for you and your pathetic attempts to make yourself sound smart. Your hack timing maps and exhaust temperature are entirely different topics.

But just to drive home how far off the mark you are with your assessment of me, let me ask you this, *******: If that concept is something I wasn't aware of, then how is it that I was the only one able to look at logs posted in this thread and notify OP two months ago that his driving style was likely triggering cat protection and destabilizing his fuel and spark, ultimately leading to the KR on the stock tune? Why is it that you looked at the same log and per usual told us all your routine lazy response of "it's knocking on the stock tune, bad gas"?

This was a PM from November 19:

See below. Brown is measured lambda, orange is load, green is KR. You suddenly go from 1.0 lambda to .70 with a corresponding load reduction, which makes me think cat temperature protection is being triggered. Both those responses lead to huge spark adjustments, and you'll see timing suddenly jump up 10+ degrees and other crazy shit like timing going from 20 to 0 and back to 20 within 1/2 second. Yet when lambda is steady KR goes sharply negative, like you can see at the 13,300 marker.

Dylan I'm not being arrogant. But you truly don't understand why I set the tunes up the way I do. If a customer has more that 3 degrees of KR on the fuel they are running at wot, I back the boost down. Simple as that. Then it also pulls timing out with he adaptive timing trim signified by OAR. I did that on purpose instead of running more enrichment because the fuel pump wouldn't be able to keep up with the extra fuel demand of .7 lambda at the same boost.

I'm very glad you decided to get into tuning your own car and have spent hundreds of hours tuning every last hp out of it on whatever fuel you are buying. My customers need piece of mind knowing if they get a bad tank of fuel, or the station owner is watering down the premium, their car won't be damaged. That's different criteria than a customer's car that wants to spend another 500 on a dyno session on a specific fuel.

I try to be helpful to this group. I spent lots of hours and $$ to bring a drop in intercooler to this market. I'm still working on more parts as well. What have you done for the community?

I appreciate your efforts and even though I no longer use your tunes, I still highly recommend them to everyone I know.

You put in a lot of effort and I enjoy learning from the information you share.

Keep it mello.

I'm pretty much the same I have hpfp AO and E30 tunes from @mattr66 and while i don't run them for my "normal" tune I still 100% recommend him for breaking into the platform. Just want to be very clear, I do run his tunes on weekend trips to good ol Mexico I just can't stand the cel for cats in my face while I drive lol.

Can’t you request a tune for your “off-road race car”? The magic phrase releasing you of that pitiful CEL. I must say....if a customer has catless downpipes....shit even LMS turns that trash off.

I actually have catted Dps, but GH doesn't do anything with emissions from my understanding since they started going after tuners for messing with that stuff. I 100% don't blame him for that.

I couldn’t live with it. Sounds like either can you. Since day 1 of having catless downpipes I have never had a cel for it. LMS gave me a revision for them and when I switch to AJP I had to request a tune for my off road race car. If a cel popped up I would be worried what it is....check the code... the I’d be beside myself if it was for not having cats... When I don’t have any. Plus a CEL looks bad, it’s embarrassing. Better be for an actual reason...tbh it makes me angry. Not sure why but it does.
