Holy buckets I missed the 91 octane only part. Yeah thats like 91% of the problem. Id be surprised if 91 could maintian an OAR better than -.50.

Pumping that tank dry is just an exercise in futility. Absolutely without exception gonna have to add e85 or race gas to every single tank to get the octane up high enough for -.96 oar.
Can’t a tuner not tune for 91 since a lot of places that’s all that’s available? I lived in Oklahoma and that’s all they had also? But I didn’t have a performance car, I had performance motorcycles and a side by side there. I don’t mind adding E85 as long as I’m not on a road trip since I have a few *** &Gos that have it close to me. I just don’t understand why this is happening, when my S80 was tuned it ran fine afterwards, it cost a $hit ton more but I wasn’t chasing my tail with it. I just want my car to run right that’s all. I’m having the same issue after draining the tank and putting gas in from another Shell station 5 miles away. Should I run other gas in it? As long as it’s a Top Tier station?

What course of action did you and Matt decide upon on this issue?

You literally just said you filled it back up with 91 and still get the knock.

You absolutely have to use e85 in every single tank every single time if you only have 91. 91 octane is never gonna let your tune run to its full potential. 91 is gonna create lots of knock till it drops the oar. Octane is octane, dont matter if its top tier 91 or not, its still 91.

It's a limitation of the fueling you have at hand to begin with. 91 octane should be able to get you the majority of the performance of the upgraded turbos, but won't ever be 100% full power. Assuming you have 0 false knock and the fuel is as pure as it can be youll be lacking a little timing and probably a little boost. If you have access to 91 and e85 maybe get with Matt about an E30-40 tune as that might get you back to the full performance you want with the con of having to blend fuels. There are a few other Gearhead guys in Colorado with the turbos so this is not Matt's first rodeo with the 91 octane up there to begin with, however the fuel 5 miles from each station can be also lower octane than stated. Which is probably just the same problem you had to begin with. Might see if you can find another brand 91 octane to put in that might have a different distributor.

Ok, you never answered the question though. So, again....what have you and Matt decided is the course of action to help figure this out?

So WTF does his AO tune mean then? It auto adjust to the fuels octane!!!???!? Right? It’s on his website !! Not 91 and E85,

I reread the entire thread and I don't see where you tried parking it on the train tracks anywhere in here!!!
Really? Didn’t I ask for people to not provide this type of reply? Thanks man you’re a big fing help! Please stop posting BS like this and all the others that are!! If you don’t have a good hearted suggestion then don’t ******* post!!! Got it?? It’s not a joke, it’s not funny, it’s ******* rude and MEAN!!! Do you get off on this type of shit? I have just dropped a shit load of money and time into my car and did all the labor my self at 53 and multiple surgeries that really affect my ability to do this kind of labor in a garage on jack stands. I have always worked on my vehicles since my first one to the extent that I can. Aside of automatic trans rebuilds, I have gone through a lot of vehicle rebuilds, swaps and performance upgrades, ,body work, paint jobs and restorations. So I kinda know my way around a vehicle from the past. I had an 86 Buick T-Type WH-1 that did 10.2 142 on meth with the help of a good friend Julio at Alkycontrol. He helped me dial in his system on the WH-1 and on my 03 Regal GS. All I want is help, not BS keyboard drama!! I’m glad your car is straight and your so smart or lucky that it is, maybe I’m not as sharp as you but I’m definitely more kind to people that need help.

TLDR, everyone has tried to help you despite your best efforts to prevent anyone from wanting to. I don't care about your money or your feelings. Matt's AO tune is working as intended, it scales your power based on your fuel. Shit fuel means no power, good fuel equals decent power, best fuel means max power from that tune.

You can throw all the tantrums you want, but it won't change anything.

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that! I’m always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You’re my son and you’re my blood. You’re the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain’t gonna have a life.

Only thing I’ve gotten is bad gas
This is so annoying...so you haven't even talked with your tuner about what could be wrong with the...wait for it...tune? It's not unfathomable that there is an issue, it happens.

Look man, deal with Matt with this before you come on here throwing tantrums...he's the guy that did your tune and is in the best position to fix any possible issues in the tune that may exist (if there are even any). He can look at a datalog and likely tell you exactly what the problem is.

Why would you not do that first before coming here? It just makes you look like you have no idea what you're doing, which, at this point, I'm pretty confidant you don't...
