Long time.. No post... I've been reading some of the mustang guys are using megasquirt and QuaterHorse. Don't think I want to go stand alone (megqSq) and don't know enough about QuaterHorse particularly in the SHO specifically the X2J. Could go with the Tweecer however it does seem a bit pricey and not sold on that either. Just wondering what we are using to tune in 2013.

It was ok? Everything I did on it I could have done with a TwEECer. Many claimed that Binary Editor was a lot more user friendly then Cal-edit...and perhaps it was. But using both products back to back I can say they were pretty much the same. With that being said, the obvious advantage of the Quarterhorse hardware over the TwEECer Hardware is being able to tune in real time, on the fly.

I have a related question. What would somebody use if they only had bolt ons done to the car? I have a 95 MTX and am going to install MAF, BBB, intake, and a bunch pf other parts.

Contact SHOsource and talk to them about their LPM service. They can provide you with a LPM then tune it based on your mods. While it is not as percise as buying TwEECer/Quarterhorse (In the sense that you are not tuning for your car 100%), It's a lot cheaper and a lot less time consuming.

I saw that on SHOsource, but they just offer the service. I did some google searches and cannot find any LPMs. I did however stumble upon this and this. I used to use Digital Horsepower for my GTP back in the day and feel confident enough to do this on my own.

BE and Adam Marrer were a huge pain (Clint G. was helpful). Had I not sold my TwEECer RT, I would have switched it back in. I could do anything I needed with it and never had locked software hassles and ******* to deal with.

Real-time tuning was a plus, until about the 3rd or 4th change when the map decided to add some type of cut around 5K RPM. This issue was repeatable and I quite annoying while using real-time as I got tired of having to start over from a fresh map all the time (plus having the car randomly cut around 5k RPM when it's really building boost can hurt your neck).

Adam Parrot is in Texas...

Good luck with Adam Marrer though. I was ready to put a sledge hammer through his face.

Yup, I never had any issues. Adam helped me out a great deal and gave me some useful advice.
