Hi all,
I'm trying to reduce body roll to help with cornering traction. I started with my sway bars, ASFB and got a more aggressive alignment which helped. What would be the next step? I don't have the $ for the ksport group buy since I am getting in on the wavetrac one fron SHOnut. I know there are strut tower braces ect. Would this be the way to go, or are there some inexpensive suspention set ups (springs ect) that would last a season or 2 of autocross until I can afford a whole setup? Just looking for ideas.

Are you simply having tight corner exiting problems? As in, inside tire lifting?

What front sway bar are you running? Chances are, it is too big.

Also, a front strut tower brace will help less than you think. The front strut towers are quite stiff as they are, being co sloe to the firewall.

I'm running the smallest I can get in the front (a 20.6 mm) and a 26 rear. I changed them prior to the event and I could definitly tell the difference, but I was still getting inside wheel spin when exiting corners. People watching said it looked like I had alot of body roll and when the weight would shift my inside tire would spin. I was hoping there was something not too expesive that I could do until I could afford a whole set up. I know there are spring blocks that keep the rear from squating on hard launches. Didn't know if this theroy could be applied all around.

I heard subframe connectors worked wonders and they are not expensive. That is the next step in my suspension upgrade then the gen 3 subframe.

I'd go subframe connectors also. I've been in one car that had them as just about the only suspension mod and it was rock solid.

Polyurethane (poly) or thermoplastic resin (TPR) sway bar bushings will ensure the anti-sway bars are doing their jobs without the compliance of the OEM rubber bushings. Cost effective and very functional.

i bought mine from "SHObill" here on the forum.

IIRC correctly SHObill no longer has any. From what I understand he was getting these spring blocks from Pontiac dealers. Apparently they were used to keep the GTO's that were being shipped from Austrailia by boat from rockin and rolling around.

AMEN! That is the first and most important "performance" change you can make. It makes everything else you do work better.
