what amp?

Here's another one-the JBL PowerValve BP-1200.1

So...this would give 600 watts to each sub, Right? :confused: That would bring it closer to it's Recommended RMS power of 550 watts.

If i'm wrong, could somebody please clear me up on this amplifier stuff and tell me what to look for when trying to find an amp for these speakers?

Yep, that would give a rated 600 watts to each sub, but the JBL is a little underrated, so it would actually be a little more than that. I would take the JBL over the Sony any day.

Thanks K-Dawg! I decided to get the Power Acoustik A1800DB amp to give each sub 550 watts. I guess I'll have to wire the two subs parallel to use the amp at a 2 ohm load.

Boo... you've beated my 12" subs by 150w RMS... mine are only 400w RMS each.
