i changed out my clutch and am piecing the car back together...
i went to put the subframe in and noticed that my motor is about 5 inches too far toward the passenger compartment
so i went and jacked up the motor a little and tried to pull it forward
the car just about came off the jackstands and the motor moved even further toward the passenger compartment
i need help.... i need the car as soon as humanly possible and i can't move the motor

any ideas?

This can happen depending on how the motor is hung off the transverse support.

The easiest way is with a helper to use a big ass pry bar to push the motor into position while hanging the subframe.

Another way would be to jack up the motor with a block of wood under it, and then release and re-position the transverse bar or the chain points. You want to make more weight hang on the rear of the motor to get it to move forward. Right now the front of the motor is heavier.
