What oil were your running at the time? How many miles were on the oil? What fuel were you running at the time.? I bolded your statement because in my mind, that sounds like a catastrophic LSPI event, which can happen on a stock tune.

Mobil-1 5w-30 full synthetic just changed about a month before with Shell 91

Yeah, I switched from Mobil 1 to Castrol Edge because of how poorly Mobil 1 was shown to perform in our motors and in tests.
