Weird Issue

So, tonight was the first snow tonight and the gf and I went out to a movie. Ever since my 60k I've been having issues with my battery. It dies very quickly, i took it to get tested, and why said it was fine.. But Ill get in the car, put the key in, it will light up good, but when I crank the lights go dim and it cranks like its battery is dead and eventually fires. But tonight while i was driving the lights came on like the door was open, so we reshut all the doors and it didn't go of. Then it went out, and 30 seconds later came back on. My dimmer switch hasn't worked to turn on the interior lights since i did my interior swap.. Do you think the dimmer is causing the interior light thing? Also, about 2 miles from home, the CEL came on.. Ill run the codes tomorrow considering its 20 degrees and snowing right now! BLEH.. PITA SHO

yeah...sorry i didn't answer your text. some of us old farts gotta get up early for work. anyway, i'd start with the dimmer switch, but you're obviously drawing current somewhere. i'd start with the usual suspects...i.e. alternater connections, starter connections, etc.

I have read of dimmer and/or headlight switches going bad and causing funny things. Other than that I would suspect a weak battery as the cause. I just recently replaced a battery and I'd open the doors and it would have power until I turned the key, then everything went dead and the little black box in the trunk to the left of the silver amp would start clicking like crazy. Low power will do some funky things.
Might try swapping in a different dimmer switch first.
