water pump help

ok put in a new water pump and now it whines like crazy not sure why am i supposed to oil the bearing through the little hole on the top when installing thinking it may be a bearing hum.

anyone please i've checked the tension i need to leave in an hour and now i may not be leaving at all dont want to drive it and have the waterpump pulley just snap off
