I'm waiting for their service manager to call me back so that I can inquire about what all that includes and if they are using Motorcraft parts, etc.Depends on which parts and prices for those.
In before I'll buy your flowers.I'm not convinced that I really need to do this imminently.
Funny. In before I'll buy your flowers.
Who has the parts list? I know I've seen it on here before.12 hours is about right and you might as well replace every single thing while you're in there. I think I paid just short of $1,900 on mine at an $85/hour shop rate.
I've seen it too. I can't help you find it though, sorry.Who has the parts list? I know I've seen it on here before.

You must not have replaced either the phasers, plungers or both though if your parts price was that low. My waterpump failed at 91,000 miles and I figured it's a 50/50 chance that either the plungers or phasers go before 182,000 miles so I replaced everything. Too much work doing it all over again.I got a **** of a deal at $930.00 out the door with a $50.00 tip. That was parts and labor.![]()
I replaced everything. The dealer knew what my issue was when I said "let's play a game... I tell you what the car is and you tell me the problem." They all looked at each other and said, "water pump and timing chain." Dealer wholesale pricing for the parts and 600.00 labor from the shop behind me. Ford certified mechanic that has all the Ford tools and did it without pulling the motor. So the amount of time was greatly shortened on the job.You must not have replaced either the phasers, plungers or both though if your parts price was that low. Sounds like you got a helluva deal then. I've been under the impression that anyone with a hoist will opt to drop the engine/subframe from the car and do it on the floor. Why did he opt to do it from the top? That's why I chose to have someone else do mine too.I replaced everything. The dealer knew what my issue was when I said "let's play a game... This is what the dealership replaced on my 2013 SEL in 2019. Cost was $1,871.53 and came with a 3yr 36,000 mile warranty.Amazingly, the other dealer I contacted quoted me $1875 plus tax. I have it scheduled to go in on the 5th.
He used to work for Ford and did those all week. Paid good money and he figured out the fast way to finish. Explained the whole process to me before he even started so my confidence was high. Came over to my shop at 3 I'm the afternoon on Monday and showed up back at the shop the next morning with the car complete.Sounds like you got a helluva deal then.
