vss

i ran the codes from my check engine light being on and the speed sensor came up. would this have anything to do with the tranny shifting hard from 1st to 2nd on an automatic car? also the egr code . can it be cleaned or just replaced?:

Yes it will make your transmission shift irregularly. Switch it out.

The egr situation depends on exactly which egr code you have - what is it?

here it turns out the plugs was unplugged.. wow what an idiot , the previos owner drove it for 2 years like that. i hopwe the tranny get get worn out early

would the vss cause the trans to occasionally slip also?

and would it or not set a code in the PCM?

Next to the rear motor mount, on top of the tranny below the exhaust manifold. I always do them without taking anything off except for the mud shield, to fit my hand in the there.

Usually takes about 2-3 hours depending on my patience level and mood!!! :laugh_ti:

And if the VSS was malfunctioning would it cause hard shifts in the transmission or any slippage?
