My cousin just swapped another transmission into my old 94 ATX. Its shifting funny, but doesnt slip, the 1 to 2 gear slide, just down shifting to 2nd gear while cruising etc. etc. Im sure you've all heard it before. Anways, i could've sworn someone just did a write up with pictures on replacement of the VSS. I searched to no avail, for VSS, vehicle speed sensor. etc. etc. If anyone knows where it is, or if there is one, it'd be appreciated. :hail:

I have been researching this to do mine soon.
Any one feel free to correct me here. It might be the drivers side.
1.disconnect the DIS.,and anything else that might be tight. (suggestions?)
2.Raise the pass. side.(unless you have a lift.)
3.remove the Y-pipe
4.loosen the pass. side sub-frame bolts, lowering the sub-frame enough to get a hand where the Y-pipe was, right on top of the tranny. That should be it. I will look back through my threads and edit this if needed.. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Ive been able to find out pretty much how to get there by reading past threads. But i thought someone had just done a write up with pics and all. I could be wrong, it might've been a write up for somethin else.

I am looking for the same one.. I got these steps as replies from a thread I started. Still looking for one with pics. It's not that it is hard to do, it is a pain
to get to it.. That's why I am going to do my sub-frame bushings while I have it on the lift. And find my ps leak... etc. :snicker::oogle:
