If they are all sold then I guess Shot peening is the route 4 me. BTW, can you shot peen reman'd axle shafts to strenghten them up more? I have a pair sitting in their boxes an I really don't want shell out $1000 for heavy duty axles.

i keep seeing all this talk of heavy duty gear sets but no one seems to list where they can be found/made or whatever.
and if someone was to have a HD gear set made would it be a good idea to have the gear ratios changed?

Do a search on the gearset and you'll find out that Josh at SHO Nut is the ONLY one who has/had them. If you want to get them made, you're on your own otherwise. As far as the gear ratios, that's up to you. I'd make them shorter myself.
