I was looking into getting the vortech SC supercharger and was wondering what kind of supercharger shoshop.com sells? Is the tube on the top or bottom? Also how hard is it to install these and what other mods are recommended when buying one of these?

The housing on the SC, S, E, and T (small differences in compressor housing size) are all the same. You actually have the ability to rotote the compressor housing and move the oil return around. SHO Shop sells the S-trim with their kits. If you're going to buy blower for your SHO, I HIGHLY advise you to get a T-trim because they are much more effecient.

If you have the kit that includes the bracket, hardware, piping, etc... It's fairly easy to do. You'll have to swap out your injectors, take off your oil pan to drill and install a fitting, change your fuel pump, and whole bunch of stuff will have to be done. Lastly, you will have to have the ability to tune your car. The LPM simply will NOT do.

I advise against just buying their complete kit. If you like their kit, just buy the base kit advertised on their specials page.

I agree with Jason, the T-Trim is better for higher boost apps, etc. For 9-12psi, it's fine to go with the S- or SQ-Trim, but who stays at low levels when more power's a pulley away?

I was at 15psi with the S-Trim, and was close to the limit of the max impeller speed from memory. I was thinking of replacing with a T-Trim prior to selling the car.

I purchased the SHO Shop "base kit" which included the bracket, hardware (wrong bolts), piping, hoses, clamps (worm) and oil feed lines and fittings. I pieced everything else together on my own as I knew better than to buy the kit.

The T-trim is a much more efficient blower producing low end boost and achieving higher boost levels with larger pulleys and keeping the intake charge cooler. All around, I'll recommend that blower in every SHO application.

If you have any specific questions, write them down and e-mail me. I won't steer you in the wrong direction.
