If you don't follow us on Facebook or Instagram (you totally should btw!), I came down to Houston for a few days for the day job and decided to take a detour over to visit with my sales rep at Circle D. I always feel it's best to meet in person if you have the opportunity, and he gave me a very detailed shop tour and we were able to talk a bit about business growth and opportunites.

One thing that came up were the SHO Torque Converters they had done previously, and what we could do to resurrect them. He said that they had been approached about someone a few years ago to do a bunch, but that they decided to stop because said person misrepresented them to the community and they ended up getting several nasty emails and phone calls from upset customers that the blue torque converters weren't holding up to abuse.

I assured him that team Blue from Minnesota is no longer part of the scene, and that myself and many others would still be interested if they were to reconsider it. He said that wouldn't be an issue, and that they would be able to do them no problem but that they had previously had issues getting cores for them.

So now my search begins to find 4-bolt cores for the 2011-2019 Transverse Ecoboost with the 6F55... if you have one laying around you'd like to sell, please let me know and I'll buy it, or I can get you in on our orders for upgrades.

He did say that one of the issues he had with team Blue was the advertisement of upgrades and specifications that just simple weren't there. He said they will have a billet stator and a looser stall, but that the advertisement of a billet pump and other components simply wasn't true.

So if anyone is interested, please let me know. We didn't discuss cost yet, but I don't see it being too cost prohibitive, they said it was pretty straight forward.

So what is the fundamental difference between theirs and GH? I've understood that you really don't want to increase the stall on these.

How will these be an improvement over GH? Or will they just be an equivalent? I called them about their TC years ago and they didn't even sound very excited to sell it to me. They didn't sound like it was very much of a better TC than stock...one reason I never went with one.

How much more beefy are they talking about going and why not make the pump billet at this point? Let's start making bullet proof transmission parts! Skip the middle part haha.

You will be happy to know I made the phone call to circle D telling them what was needed for Mr O's personal car at the beginning. I call a couple of months later to get some for my shop and I learn that Mr. O had exclusive rights to them somehow. I went elsewhere to have mine made at that point. Go ahead and go higher stall, it will be different from mine at least.
