There you go guys, enjoy!

Fast stock 2010 Taurus SHO 1/4 mile in 13.5 sec. : (Against stock 5.0 L mustang GT 2011, guy filmed mostly the time instead of the race...)

2010 stock Taurus SHO 1/4 mile in 13.6 : (Against Jetta turbo, less bad filming, but not best time)

2010 stock Taurus SHO 1/4 mile inside car : (so that we can hear the tires spinning)

2010 stock Taurus SHO 0-100 mph : (to compare with previous movie, much faster with better traction!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zzagP42c34&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

The last video of a 0-100 mph is to compare acceleration between normal road and the track. I believe I lose more than half a second with poor traction at the track... Would love to see times if the track was more adhesive... under 13 sec. stock? What you guys think? I timed with movie clip a chrono of 11.98 sec. from 0-100mph.

Please comment...

Thanks and cheers!:munch:

I doubt you are running in the 12's stock. .5 seconds is a lot of time to lose over a little tire spinning. Probably more like .1-.2 at most. 13.5 is a good stock time. There are some people with a tune barely going faster than that.

i got about 13~sec using the movie timer which is inline with your track times. Get a tune on there and you will drop a LOT of time at the track.

Any traction losses you attribute to the cold and perhaps poorly prepared track, are more than offset by the 40 degree air. EB engine LOVES cold air!. From what I heard, you hooked up PDG.... 2.08 60 ft isn't all that bad.... My best is 1.95.

With my G8 GT, I have yet to get a 60 ft time (at Immokalee 1/8 mi).... of under 2.0. With 60 degree air I was running 8.32 & 85.6 mph. (Kooks middies & tune).

Essentially, if you could have gotten a 1.9 60 ft time, you would have perhaps been .2 faster in the 1/4 mi, & speed would have been up slightly. You also do not have the performance package, which means your axle ratio is 2.7 something vs the 3.16.

Hope you can do the 12's stock, but don't want to see you disappointed when you don't succeed.

Hey all, thanks for your comments. Actually, I am already pleased with those numbers, being stock and no performance package... It is true that the 40'a F is the major factor, but with no traction issue AND in the 40's I believe I could get out of the box in about 1.9 sec. The rule is generally what you save out of the box is doubled at the end of 1/4 for time saved... so maybe a 0.3 seconds could be cut off... But when I look at my video of 0-100 mph and compare it to the 1/4 mile inside the car run, I really see at least half a second quicker... anyway, might try to go one more time but a Saturday afternoon when the put glue in the box... that should help a lot... just need to find the time to go and convince my wife... If not, I will have to compare these numbers to modified numbers. I will be leaving to Mexico from May 6th to 15th, so surely right after, but I'll try to return before leaving.
Thanks again for your comments... more to come... and YES very bad filming indeed. Next time I will ask my wife to come and teach her how to before the runs. lol
