I don't know much about the electrical gauges, but I just installed mechanical water temp and oil pressure gauges on an IPT A-pillar. I went to home depot and bought brass pipe fittings to allow me to keep the old sensor and add a new one. I asked for help and had to listen to the continued bickering of the worker on how it's not going to work because I don't know the exact thread. I figured that if it didn't fit nicely, I would just come back and try something else. I needed 2 T fittings and a bunch of other fittings to make it work. They only sold 3 way female T fittings, so I had to get some kind of ****** for it to go into the block. I needed various pieces of pipe to extend the system to allow for the large water temperature sensor. You need 1/4" piping for the oil pressure and 3/8" piping for the water temperature. My oil pressure gauge didn't come with very long tubing. I was an idiot and mounted the gauge up high on the pod. I had to put the T fitting in a position that compromised the stock oil pressure sender. The plug that goes to that sender is quite short and doesn't let you move it without extending the wire.

For the Indiglo gauges, I got the LED Bulbs from http://www.42draftdesigns.com/ and they look and work great. Click the "LED Illumination" link, and you're looking for (I believe) a 194 bulb. They had great service and lightning fast shipping.

It's a pretty good setup, with the exception of the oil pressure line and the line to the stock sender are both too short. I'll get under there and splice the line, orjust move the oil pressure gauge down to a lower postion. I thought it would be best right in my face up top, but it's actually better in the lowest position. I really like the IPT pod. The fit is excellent, and ford did good by allowing room for wires to be run without being seen.
