VAPS module location???

Just wanted to know where this module is because im trying to add a switch to turn it on and off. I heard it was on the left hand side of the dash, but i dont know what it looks like or anything like that.

On the GEN 2 the VAPS is a stepper motor that is controlled by the PCM through the VSS I believe. If you want to shut it off you need to switch the power to the stepper motor. This must be done at speed when the steering resistance is at your liking. IIRC there are 4 steps in assistance.

yeah i looked for the module and i couldnt find it!! Well I did the 65-70 setting.... what i did was drive to about 70 shut the engine off and disconnect the plug going to the VAPS. The tugged steering went away, but its a pain to turn at slow speeds. Where is the location of this motor I have to make a **** switch in the car so I can safely perform the steering stiffness!!!
