Valve Guides

I am getting my heads ready for the 3.2 swap. I noticed a few threads relating to the valve guides. Most thread say not to worry about them.

Should I get them replaced when I have the heads cleaned? Could they simply be knurled(as opposed to replaced)?

Edit: the heads have less than 150k and the engine ran fairly clean(little or no oil burning)

I will be replacing the seals. Should I "replace the valve stem seals and call it a day"?

Knurling the guides is a temporary fix. If the guides are out of spec., I would suggest replacing them; with phosphor/bronze guides. It is easy to do.
You can either ream them or press them out , and replace the guides. OR, ream the guides,
and use slightly oversize (stem) valves. I believe you can get a reamer,and valves in
.001-.002 oversize.. For most engines, anyway. This is cheaper, and longer lasting than knurling.. (My instructors were pretty clear on this).

Yeah if you are going to have the heads out, its a really good idea to replace the valve guide seals. The time is now!
