Where can you find/purchase new valve cover rubber washer seals (I don't know if this is the proper name to describe them) that fit under the chrome valve cover bolt washers and prevent oil from leaking out  all over the valve covers?

I've tried to use gasket compound between the steel and rubber washer to prevent oil leakage, but this seem like a Micky Mouse approach and I'd rather replace the rubber washers.

Thanks

half-way there, I think.
No longer available from Ford or any aftermarket supplier. You might get lucky if you look through a Grainger or McMaster Carr catalog and be able to find something that will work.

That is a total bummer!!

Eventually (!) we are all going to be in the same boat and will need to find some substitute, as the rubber washers won't last forever.

P.S.

Nice gauge pod!! I have a one that fits two gauges I am about to install, but I wish I had the one for three gauges.

Thanks. :thumb:

I assume WTB means "Want To Buy"? Where is the proper location on this board to post this request? Do I just post it on the normal threads for "engine and driveline"?

There is a "Wanted to Buy" section you can post in.

They are no longer available, but come with the bolts if I'm not mistaken. A while back when I did my 3.2 swap, I ran into the same situation. I used some high temp clear silicone along the underside of the gaskets and also under the metal washers. There is no more leaking here. Hope this helps!
