I have a 2016 SHO and in the process of changing the spark plugs, noticed there was a lot of oil in the spark plug wells. Which is obviously a sign of the valve cover gasket being bad. Was wondering whether I should take this on or have my trusty mechanic do the task. And anybody know what the cost would be to have them do it? I’ve found estimates anywhere from $400 to $1,400. And is there anywhere to reference other than a service repair manual as to how to do so specifically on a gen 4 SHO if I do decide to go that route?

which cover is it? the front or the back? if it's the one in the front, that one has a high pressure fuel pump and don't do it, you need to know what you're doing. if it's the one in the back, I just changed mine this week on my own.. totally doable and not the hardest job. i can give you step by step what to do.
