What Valve Cover Gasket set do you use on your SHO? We don’t show to have it available @ O’Reilly. My step-brother gave me the Ford parts #s for them. I found THIS on RockAuto:

Also, what spark plugs do you like to use on the V8 SHO?

Out there somewhere
If that is the correct valve cover gasket, get them, as almost no one makes parts for that engine.

As far as spark plugs, what's wrong with OEM Motorcraft?

Further research shows that is not a gasket for a 3.4L V8.

I called Fel-Pro. They do not offer the cover gaskets. I have called a few places and nothing has been found.

As for the spark plus, I was going to use NGX or Motorcraft.

Aftermarket valve cover gaskets have never been offered. Ford gaskets have long been obsolete. You will have to start asking around in the SHO groups to see if anyone will sell a set. I just gave a set away with my 97 when I sold it back to my buddy. Took me a while to piece together a full set of them.

Most will end up using RTV either over the gaskets you have if not too bad, or just pull the gasket out and use them.

I'M sure with as much interest as there is with having a fresh set, someone could setup a run with a MFR for a decent cost.

I think I was able to locate one. I checked with my brother-in-law and he advised me that that part should work.

I will keep you posted about it.

Crap. BOTH Valve Cover Gaskets, that I ordered, only fit the 3.0L engine. NOT the 3.4L engine.

Does anyone know anyone who makes Valve Cover Gaskets?

Does ANYONE have this special "Tee" around the Thermostat housing??? Does not exist with FMC anymore. When I drive the SHO, it keeps loosing coolant.

No. I Went to Oreilly's and had them look through their stock and found something from a Toyota, I want to say it was a Tundra a number of years ago. It had plastic ends that shrink to fit.

I've been wanting to get a silicone set of all hoses made for our cars, just haven't found the time yet.

Reuse the valve cover gasket with rtv to help seal it up. There is, and has been, nothing out there for vc gaskets for a long time on the v8 cars. Having regular maintenance and opening them up for so many cam weld jobs burned through the supply a little faster. The only things keeping me from getting another GenIII is parts availability and the football integrated hvac/stereo... and tra ns rebuild quality. This is the most low production run orphan SHO ever made. Parts extinction was always going to be an issue. There are probably not enough on the road to get a small batch run of most anything-- unless it is an owner willing to do something out of attachment to keeping their car viable.

If you have that part #, please let me know me know so I can check it out tomorrow when I’m at work. All the stores have LOT's of Gates "Tee" available. They are just not on the sales floor. My mechanic is going to try to get the Tee off, but, I'm very sure that it will break. Once I get it, i can look to see if there is something matching.

I'm sure that we will not find many out there using this link:
