Thanks found it that was it, still have a vac leak but I will finish fixing that tomorrow.

I know this post is old but it may help others.
Tan(sort of pinkish) hose goes to valve below egr. Should be a shiny ****** where it used to be. Think it is some valve, not sure what it's called that's why I'm studying these posts. I believe it's round and receives the air from the sai pump if you follow the hose. I'm going to my 96 to investigate further. Hope this helps someone. I've got a p1413 but my pump works..?
