v8 engine

[Want to be]

Someone told me that orginally the (yamh)v8 engine was not for the SHO GEN3. Ford had 25k engine built but it was for another project.

Does anybody know what that project was???

Probably meant for the gen1 because the sho was already out by 1996 and ford just wanted to make it better when they decided to drop the manual option.
