What does the wire with white and light blue strip do? PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!

Located in the door, bundled with the windows and door lock switch wires, is a gray connector that is not connected to anything. (One white with light blue wire, and another that is black) Just sits there and gets power. BBoiByron's power locks and keyless entry do not work. He can pop the trunk with the keyless entry and the little box in the trunk makes clicking noises as if it is trying to unlock the doors. We thought that this connector might have something to do with it. It is not plugged into anything and it doesn't look like there are any plugs near by. Help! Please!

Check if your Master Window Control illumination works or not. My guess is not, since it is supplied by a W/LB wire and needs a ground (probably BK) and you have a disconnected plug that matches this.

This is the same circuit that provides illumination for all lights controlled by the dimmer rheostat.

This idea is based on the 89 EVTM. If the car you're asking about is not an 89, you should have identified it (your sig says 89) and this info may not apply.

To test the door lock motors, use a digital voltmeter connected across the terminals of the motor. It will read +12V or -12V, depending on wheter it is locking or unlocking. The polarity of your connections may vary, so look for the flip-flop of the voltage and polarity.
