Ok Keith(stormtropper) has been here replacing his clutch and tranny on his car. Everything is back together and there is a problem. He says the clutch pedal feels very very light. Also the clutch does not engane untill almost at the very top...

We tried to do the adjustment but when we pull up there is no clicking at all. Do you think its the adjustment or something was put together wrong?

What would the car do if the disc was in backwards?

Also what would make the clutch pedal feel so "light"

I just started driving this car and I'm not used to a clutch so it's difficult to make any determinations. On mine it is almost effortless to push it to the floor. And it needs to be pressed against the carpet to start it.

Sounds like a new clutch and he is just used to the old one.

The clutch pedal must be fully depressed to start the car.

The clutch wont go untill about a inch from the top.

When he gives it any gas while the car was rolling it will start slipping.

I put a clutch in backwards one time in a SHO... ... It stays engaged at all times. That is not what you did.

I do not like the high engagement point. Look at the actuator arm on top of the transmission. Does it have a full movement. Is the clutch cable in the holder on top of the transmission.

I'll be online for a bit.
