Hey guys The upper radiator hose on my 91 sho blew last night on my way to work (probably just old) but I am worried about possible engine damage from it. Thankfully it was a cold night and the fan was running but it did overheating for a little bit (needle was between the O and R in the normal word on the temp gauge) you think this may cause damage?

New problem I have replaced the hose with a new one but now it seems the car is not circulating coolant and is overheating plus I am not getting any heat from the heater. The top heater hose is getting hot but I can squeeze it and I dont feel any coolant in it and the bottom hose is cold. I am gonna try replacing the thermostat as I feel it may have sized shut after the hose blew and all the coolant came out.

You need to bleed the system properly.
Take one of the coolant lines off that are under the throttle body.
This is the highest point in the system.
