Have only had my 2013 EcoBoost MKS since December. With factory warranty I have not been doing any work myself but have now started checking things since the dealer massively over filled the engine oil!

Found this plug sitting wide open under the engine cover. Can anyone tell me what it is? I have the service CD and have looked but can't find any mention of it??

That is the blow of valve and that plug allows the ECU to control the valve. The plug for it comes off of the wire just in front of it and it looks to be hanging down in the picture.

I don't know why the previous owner would unplug that connector though. Maybe there's some performance advantage...not sure, but I would fear a possible overboost with it disconnected.

Is the front one also disconnected? Look up front to the left of the air box.
