Unstable revs with Clutch in

I can drive my SHO for about 10 minutes with everything working fine. Then, once the car is warmed up, i stop at stop signs or stop lights with the clutch in and the revs go between 1k to almost 2k, up and down, up and down, over and over, until finnally it stops and stays constant at 1k. Is this bad??
