Anyone know what size bulb is used for the light under the hood?

They come in various wattages. The higher the brighter.

#194 IIRC. Sylvania makes a silverstar 194 too.

How much can you put through without popping the fuse? More light is always good!

A 20w bulb is only ~1.5A

It's not that you'll pop the fuse - but that the bulb will melt the end of the housing.

You can get a package of two for $0.97 at Walmart in the RV section (unless of course, they've raised the price 20- to 40-percent like everything else in ChinaMart).

There are many wattages available in this form. IIRC the trunk bulb is 9 watts or so.

Thanks for reminding me- I popped in new bulbs under my gear indicator, and they were license plate bulbs, I had them marked wrong... Now it's like times square in my car right now... Ha ha! I need to fix that tomorrow...
