Get the largest bayonet base bulb for more light. Look in the landscape lighting section.

How much can you put through without popping the fuse? More light is always good!

It's not that you'll pop the fuse - but that the bulb will melt the end of the housing.

:scared:

You can get a package of two for $0.97 at Walmart in the RV section (unless of course, they've raised the price 20- to 40-percent like everything else in ChinaMart).

There are many wattages available in this form. IIRC the trunk bulb is 9 watts or so.

I had time to look it up yesterday evening.

Bulb #906
12V / 9w

The ChinaMart reference - bulb packaging is primarily yellow, with some blue bordering. Retails for $0.97 for a two-pack.

Brand name - Dorcy
made in Taiwan.

Thanks for reminding me- I popped in new bulbs under my gear indicator, and they were license plate bulbs, I had them marked wrong... Now it's like times square in my car right now... Ha ha! I need to fix that tomorrow...
