#1. Has anyone ever done any light towing with their SHO? I'm talking like a utility trailer with a motorcycle or one of the smaller U-Haul trailers. I've read the official literature that pretty much bans any thought of towing, but figured I'd ask for personal experience.

#2. Anyone in the MD area have a shop they would recommend for adding stuff like the GH intercooler or other goodies from them? I live in a historic downtown area, so no driveway or garage for me to work in. And I don't think my neighbors, or the city, would appreciate me doing this stuff at the curb in front of my house.

While Ford doesn't recommend a tow capacity for the SHO (they do for the Flex and Explorer but not the SHO) we've had customers request a tow tune that works quite well for hauling sea doos, motorcycles, and even one that uses his SHO to run a lawn care business.

Curt does offer a 1500 lb rated tow system for our cars I believe, but it's your own comfort that will really dictate your tow capacity. Ford left that off to cover themselves from liability I guess.

As for performance shops in Maryland, I'm not sure who I'd recommend up there.

Thanks, I've contacted a local Curt dealer to see about installation.

A few years back there was a video floating around of a person who uses their SHO to tow an Airstream travel trailer, and a pretty long one at that (I think around 24').
