I have a 2010 SHO and while having a bad wheel bearing replaced my mechanic noticed the turbos were leaking. He couldn’t tell me for exactly how long but he said it was wet and had some dried oil on the outside. This is the first anyone noticed anything, these guys do my oil changes, tire rotations and inspections , as well as everything else I need done. So my question is how long do I have before they’re done for? The car has over 170k miles on it, everything else works just fine but if they’re close to going I’ll probably just trade it in for something newer, even though it’s probably my favorite car I’ve ever owned.

Is it pouring out onto the ground? Are the turbos smoking? If not, keep driving it.

They will always have some sort of buildup on the turbo housing from the rubber couplings being saturated overtime with oil. Shaft seals are made to allow a certain amount of oil passage so at over 170k miles i wouldnt worry about it. But always check oil levels at least once every couple weeks with a high mileage twin turbo engine.
