So I am browsing my local racing forum and a local performance shop that I frequent recently purchased a AWD dyno. In the advertising section I see
Dyno Day 10am-6pm Friday..
, but in my excitement I didn't click the link so I quickly put the 44lb injectors in there my 90mm maf and popped in my boost controller and gave it a bunch of turns out. It was on my roommates duramax running 27psi so I knew it had to be unscrewed some but didn't know how much. Well it was not enough so I was going to pull over and make a adjustment to it to bring the boost back down, But before I did that I wanted to make sure my revlimiter is still set at 8500rpm so the dyno operator can run it up to 8K without worry of hitting the limiter. well it is at 8K and I bumped the limiter at about half throttle in second. This jossled the engine and I lost 5 cylinders because the stupid coil pack plug keeps coming loose. I forgot to install the ziptie after the most recent tranny swap. No biggy I pull over on a side street push on the coil pack plug make a adjustment at the boost controller.

As I am making my adjustment there are a few teens cleaning out their car about 5 houses up and I hear them talking about how crappy my car is and how slow SHO's are bla bla bla. So I do what any irresponsible person would do. I start the car slip it into first gear roll it to about ten mph then punch it. The boost shoots to 12psi and I go screaming past them but first gear wound out much faster than I anticipated and I slipped it into second about about 6K which is way too late for the pcm to do anything about and it hits the limiter again, only this time it did it with a earth shattering BOOM. It honestly sounded like a 1/4 stick of dynamite going off. I looked in the mirror and I couldent see anything other than a massive black cloud of soot and fuel. the cloud was the size of a house. This kills the engine so I pull over push the coil pack plug back on and go on my merry way. No damage done thank god. it does take a long time to build boost now though so I may have cracked a pipe or knocked something out of place. or popped a vacc line off.

So later that night I go out cruising with a few of my friends on bikes. I may or may not have pulled a stock R6. At the track of course in mexico.

no the VSS still does not work. I give up. after the convention it is going to stock and since I cannot find the problem I will probably junk the car scrapping the nitrous plans. I am so frustrated with it. The car hauls ass though!
