Is it at all possible to add a garrett turbo to an atx sho without blowing the tranny if the tranny has already been rebuilt? Please hit me back with the facts because I'm interested in some summer speed.

automatic trannies arent under as much stress as manual trannies because the torque converter soaks up more of the power, autos also break fewer axles, so I would think you would be able to get more power without having to rebuild....but this is just speculation

That sounds about right to me. It basically boils down to the same guidelines involved in turbocharging an mtx car. How much power are you going to run and how hard are you going to drive it. Keep the boost levels lower and be nice to the car and you shouldn't have to worry too much about a freshly rebuilt atx.

Whether or not your tranny will last is how well it was rebuilt. If it was just rebuilt to factory specs, it will eventually go out with boost.

Depends on amoutn of boost and how well the tranny was rebuilt.

Hopefully you had a transgo kit installed in there when it was rebuilt?
