11.0 full weight? who is this? It would actually be extremely easy with nitrous, but who's actually done it?

I did 12.32 on literally my first attempt, heat soaked to all **** (IAT2 was 130 at it's lowest) with 500 treadwear A/S Kenda's at full pressure straight off the street. Oh BTW I choose to run stock boost below 3000 RPM so I don't even have all the rod twisting torque potential at launch you guys do. Yes I had colder OEM plugs and thermostat but that is it. If you think those are performance mods and not a tuning parameter then OOHHHH I guess ya got me!!!.
IIRC an Ortiz car has allegedly gone 12.3x tune only, and I think SSI has claimed like 12.28 tune only. Given the ease and repeatability of my results, as a first time tuner on my first tree in this car, I see no reason to doubt the validity of the others. But if either had a CAI then go ahead and dismiss them.

Show me a full weight pass faster than 11.28. If you think any of the above examples wouldn't be <=12.0 with 300-400 lbs taken out, or that you wouldn't be 11.3+ at full weight, I'd love to hear that argument articulated. WR is very germane here. Just because the vast majority of SHO owners don't have the desperation to convert their comfortable sedan into a joke of a "race car", doesn't mean it gets dismissed from the equation when trying to make an intelligent comparison on what FBO +P+ actually nets you. And I'm sorry but if "spark plug heat range is a mod", then "you don't hold a SHO record because you haven't actually dragged an entire SHO" also applies. I think we're both more rational than that.

Adolf ****** fought to end racism. I guess we're not allowed to knock his method then since he was trying to do something? ATP turbos were already on the market and proven to support >600 hp while moving the power band in the proper direction. With a little disinformation campaign from a couple influencers, GH took what little market share there was, and the superior product discontinued. Now all we have for easy upgrades are turbos that stran.gle this engine to death just for the sake of dyno torque bragging rights at RPM too low to have any useful benefit on the road or track. Luckily I know another option or two has recently emerged, so there's some hope moving forward on that front.

That's all old news for you, though. Once you have that real induction system up and running the silly micro record competition is going to be over for a long time. I expect a swift 10.50 and then 10.0 on the horizon!

You lost me asking about a full weight pass. There is no weight restriction, no weight class. Anyone is welcome to serve us up a 11.0 or better full weight…..I’ll be waiting….. Personally I don’t add rules and stipulations to anything I participate in. Most of the time I disregard rules and some laws depending on what my opinion is of them. So for me, I most definitely won’t be adding rules or stipulations to what I do with my EcoBoost SHO. If you want to apply more restrictions to what you do that’s great.

Furthermore, this is just a Ford Taurus. We aren’t 2000+Hp. We don’t run sub 6 second passes. Those cars are gutted wayy beyond what things we can simply unbolt. The stigma of is it Full Weight?means absolutely nothing, but it means something to (some individuals). Cool. But don’t blow your smoke my way, inhale it yourself.

Damn right we Ford Taurus’ should strip some weight out, we have next to absolutely 0 aftermarket support compared to nearly almost every single other car platform. So on top of that…..we care if we have a full interior? That means something???????

Nothing but air and opportunity for anyone to come and rip a 10.9 full weight. Then and ONLY then can it mean something……and it was full weight…..then when the lighter car beats it…..it’s nothing but a distant memory but perhaps the cult full weight following will pour out a little liquor.

The EcoBoost SHO with the best power to weight ratio wins…..every single time. And it’s been seen to also last longer…..do you think it’s lucky 2 bottom 11’s never had a motor or trans failure, a coincidence? Or largely due in part to dropping useless weight?

Go full weight, load it up with concrete bags, bricks, go wild…..set the heaviest EcoBoost SHO 1/4 time. Have at it! Have fun with it! But it means absolutely nothing.

You’re better when you focus on things that matter.

Damn, right I stripped my comfort sedan that has worse depreciation than a used mattress. Who cares. These cars are losing more value every day and are in junkyards already. I'm having fun and learning little optimizations along the way. God forbid someone enjoys tinkering.

I understand you and Matt have a history but “common man” that is very over the top.

I have never criticized anybody for sharing a negative opinion of GHT either. I have only shared my positive experiences which seems to have some people really upset.

Btw GHT has grown with $0 marketing spent or paid sales people. Before they hired me the only person within GHT that even had SM accounts was Matt who doesn’t have time for this kinda stuff. All growth has been through word of mouth. GHT isn’t some company where the owners are on some get rich mission of global world ********** or whatever. Matt has tuned all kinds stuff outside the platforms offered on the website but we don’t and won’t offer them. We’re not out here thirsting to build some mega empire.

What does this have to do with anything? How does his personal life affect if a tuner is good or not? It is like pointing out that the earth is not a perfect circle when discussing which orange juice brand has the most sugar. I have not had any issue with my Ortiz tune (yet) but, people like this will definitely steer me away from a company. Even if you are the best tuner in the world, this will drive people away in droves.
