I hit jackpot and found a black 92 Gen 2 MTX in good condition with 117k on the clock so I'm looking to auction off my white on white 94 ATX and go buy it ...the only down thing bout the 92 of course it don't have the rear spoiler so if I get it I wanna take the one off my 95 ATX parts car and get it repainted and install it on the 92 so what exactly needs to be done ?

Pretty much just what you said. Along with making a template to drill holes through the trunk lid at the correct places to line up with the threaded studs that are attached to the bottom of the oem spoiler. I think Bizzy posted a template or measurements to do this many years ago.

On some 92 trunks (my guess is the later built ones), there is already a cutout on the inside of the trunk for the rear most fasteners that go to the spoiler. If it isn't there, you will need to cut access holes that you can see on your 94 or 95. I've put tape down on the trunk and put some paint, etc. on the spoiler boss and made impressions on the tape so you know where to drill. I used some rubber washers and silicone to help seal around the fasteners.

I've seen other people wire the rear brake lamp into the spoiler, there is probably a write up on how to do that somewhere on the forum.

Putting a spoiler on a 92 is lame!
X2! Adding a spoiler is not an improvement; it is a bad idea on the '92! The '92 has a unique, sleeper look with no spoiler and turned down exhaust tips. Assuming it's a nice car, I recommend preserving it, not butchering it. But of course, that's just my opinion; do what you want!

I would find out if you have to get the brake light working if you install a spoiler (as you already have one in the back window).
If you do, I would keep the whole trunk lid from the 95 as it will have the wiring and everything you need and it will save you fishing wires through you 92 lid, which I found to be fairly painful as the big light socket things don't slide around easily.

The trunk lid looks good, with or without a spoiler, it is entirely up to you. I always thought the spoiler would look better if it sat off the lid surface a little more (sat higher) as it looks like it is part of the trunk lid skin stamping now. But to do that would take a great amount of work for something that may not looks so great after all.
