I was just poking around Ebay looking at SHO's and came across a really nice '97 model that is black with tan interior in Tennesee, the car only has 77,000 miles on it. Anyway there was a picture of the trunk and it has a cargo net. Did these cars come from the factory with a cargo net? Mine obviously does not have one and I don't see any tabs that would hold a net up.

I think the screws that hold your trunk lining in place double as the cargo net anchors. They have the hook-looking things on them, you can find them directly behind your taillights in your trunk.

He is absolutly correct. If you look in the trunk there are several (4) fastners that are t shapped to hook the cargo pocket/pouch /net on.

No, they did not come from the factory with the trunk cargo net. Some dealers may have added it as a dealer installed option. I ordered mine from a fellow SHO owner way back in the day when he was working at a dealership.

The cargo net comes with several different fastners which can be used with the Taurus, Sable and I believe Continental. You take a couple of the fastners off that hold the trunk liner in place and replace them with the new fastners that cam with the cargo net. The new fastners have hooks on them for you to hang the cargo net on.

Forgot how much I paid for it but it was relativly cheap and comes in handy.

Sorry to get off track here... but I love your sig! Your gen.1 is one of the best looking ones I've seen :thumb: The cowl hoods do so much for these cars, much moreso that other cars IMO...
