2011TAURUSSEL
2014 SHO LMS Stage 1 V10
It is not exterior or specific maintenance but I will try here.
This is more of a FYI and once I remember to get a new strip of Velcro I will have it fixed.
With the extreme heat in Well pretty much everywhere in the US but specifically North Central Texas.
The adhesive for the Velcro has basically melted loose and caused the center of the trunk carpeting to fall down. I will try to get photos later but the adhesive melted and of course the carpet came loose. Should be an easy fix just a matter of 1. Remembering to get another strip of Velcro and 2. Finding some reasonable temperatures to be able to fix it. I work midnights so usually figure first thing in the morning before it gets too hot but well the sleep monster and sandman duke it out and by the time I wake up it is too hot again.
If you do come across this situation I would recommend cutting the Velcro into three different sections. One for the original piece that came loose and re-enforce the two sides basically follow the curve of the trunk. Center and on each side of center. I used the Velcro with the self adhesive backing. One side for the carpet, one side for the trunk frame.
