40BelowSummer, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

When searching for threads, the results display the following columns:
Thread / Thread Starter / Last Post / Replies / Views / Forum

All of the ones I can't view, are not listed as being in a "Forum"...

Can this be fixed? There are a few threads with this problem that I hope arent gone for good.

I dunno guys. I've reorganized everything I know to organize. The thread is/was a sticky started by Tom, by all right it should be there but darned if I can even get into it. I'll continue to try and figure it out, maybe I'll figure it out.

I know Tom, it bums me out too. What's really strange is that even I can't view it. I'll be taking a look into the database tonight. If I can reconstruct it, and I should be able to, I will. It'll just take a little time is all.

You guys keep tabs on the threads that you can't get into. Post links to them here so I can look into them. It may be a case that the thread was sent to a forum you guys can't view or it could be a case like what we have with Tom's thread. I won't know until I try the link.

This may help you if you haven't noticed already.

All of the threads in questions aren't listed as being in a forum when you search for them.

I can't view 5 of those threads; the ones that are black under the "forum" column.

I tried rebuilding the thread that Tom had started and it turned into a major undertaking. The thing about the database is that posts are stored chronologically. Meaning that a post in XX thread made at 1:00 is stored right before another post made in YY thread and so on and so forth. With as many new posts as we have made daily here, it turned into a REAL chore. And since the file for all the posts is absolutely crazy HUGE, it makes going through it in word or notepad horribly difficult.

What I will plan on doing in the near future, time permitting, is getting a program that will be more efficient at viewing the database table with all the post data. Singling out the individual posts will be difficult, but it can be done.

Thanks for keeping me updated on other threads that aren't viewable. Maybe one of these days I'll get them figured out. :frown:

Maybe you could transfer it to an Excel spreadsheet where you can then single out all the posts from a particular thread. It's been about a year since I've done that, so I don't remember what it is called.

I wish it was that easy.

Does it still have the image locations? Thats mainly what I am after... I want to share some of those awesome pics.
Thanks

The links are probably still there. The problem is figuring out which posts go in the thread. :frown:

I have no problems with that Tom. I just wish I could retrieve the old data. :frown:
