i just bought some new TRE's from orileys.. they seem to be good. yet they seem shorter than the originals....
they are made by auto drive, but one looks like it could pass for MOOG. (was gonna get them, but they didnt have them in stock) but they are greasable...
anyways, did i get the wrong ones? they seem too short... i havent gone out to look at the fitment yet...
which leads me to my other question. (which is in my other thread) How do i get off the old outter TRE's? they are off the knuckle, and i cant turn them, even with them in the knuckle either.... i know i have to take off the nut, and back it off. but i cant get it off..... any help would..... help...... :thumb:

Autodrive is O'Reilly's house brand. Last time I purchased a part in an Autodrive box, it contained a MOOG part inside. I concluded that the Autodrives are just repackaged Moog components.

Back off the jam nut a turn or so, then turn the TRE off the tie rod. This can required large wrenches and the application of heat if it's corroded on there.
