I just had a centerforce clutch and fidanza flywheel installed alond with new midwest y-pipe new o2 sensors and fuel filter.when the car is in first and second gear at low rpms if you let of the gas it will make a clunk noise that you can feel in the stick, also it has a stange idle,it will idle at 1250 rpms then it will either drop to 750 and hold or it will drop all the way down and the oil light comes on and it will stall if idont give it a little gas.by the way it is a 93 mtx with 140,000 miles.if any one knows what would cause this please help :hail:

I would think that you may need to reset the idle after installing a light weight flywheel. Did you reset the idle? Also, how low are the RPM's going when the oil light comes on. Sounds like rod bearings may be a good investment. And the worst part will be easy freshly removed exhaust studs.

Good luck

the idle drops down to about 200rpms or so ,all work was done by a master mechanic,in my area findind someone who knows anything about this car is rare. when i got the flywheel and clutch work done he said that the computer would re-learn itself cause it did this all the time at idle after driving it for a while its idle was fine this just happend resently but what is going on with the clunking noise in the trans. :oogle: the noise in the trans didnt happen till after the y-pipe and o2 sensors where put in.
