Transmission Problems.

Well I took my car in 2 weeks ago for my transmission. 2010 Taurus SHO For 2 main reasons. 1.When I floor it it wouldn’t go into 2nd gear It just redlined until I stoped. and my PTU cause I smelt a propane smell. I told the service writer and manager and the tech working on my car that its tuned and they said its fine they don’t care. So I kept my tune on. My dumb self should of took it off to avoid this problem. They replaced the PTU and my transmission they replaced ( Removed Valve Body and Removed Check Ball and Added Separator plate. and performed a update on my PCM. So when he updated it i lost my tune. And I told them to put the 2 bar map sensor back on the manifold so it wouldn’t run like crap. He didn’t and he replaced the map sensor… So Now I get my car back and the transmission is even worst than when i brought it in. ( The car is now stock No tune) The trans is messing up going into second gear. The first time going up a hill and it downshifted and it felt like I got rear ended ( Twice it happened) and i heard a big clunk really loud.Maybe my second gear is messed up? And I need a new transmission

Who put the stock tune on? If you did it with the stock tune stored in you're tuning device, it will have a different strategy code after the update they did.

Well they reprogrammed the PCM so I got new tunes from LMS with a new strategy code

Are you sure it's not the rear differential (RDU) that's having an issue? That rear-ended feeling could be caused by the RDU.

Also check trans fluid level, they may not have filled it correctly.

Well I did have some fluid looked like it came out and I'm taking it back this morning so I'll makesure I ask
