This question is for all those who did the fluid swap. When you did the fluid in and out deal, how long did you wait to do the second fluid exchange? I got 7 qts out today and 7 back in. Pretty sure my TC is gone too. Shudder at low idle speeds, around 30 to 40 MPH. It was happening before and I added the shudder stop to the transmission and it was good. Not so much now lol. I also vacuumed out the IC, no help there and no codes at all. Always seems to get worse in the summer, high heat and humidity here in Texas.

Well it may be that I have to be one of those who replace the transmission. Fluid swap didn't help. Still hesitating and RPM's bouncing around. Shop won't replace just the TC and wants $3300.00 or more to rebuild stock components(if available) lol. So I'm shopping around. May wind up calling the Ford dealer too as a last resort.

Alot of times the fitment bolt pattern are same/similar. When I look at the part numbers below I only see boosted sho and MKS applications listed. Someone with a cross ref program can check

I have oem part numbers

DA5Z-7000-B
DA5Z-7000-L
DA5Z-7000-BRM -- reman oem ford

Ford reman new https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-trans-axle-da5z7000brm?c=az0x

Ebay has roll the dice cheap options like this one???

Have you tryed the trans relearn procedure? Worth a shot. Ive heard of ppl fixing alot of problems on newer cars just by resetting the pcm which in your case will relearn the trans as well.

Trans relearn procedure, Is that the one where you disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and then drive it? I'll have to research and then try that.

You disconnect the neg on battery then run a jumper wire from the pos terminal to the disconnected neg battery cable. Not the neg terminal. Let it drain the capasitors in the pcm for about 15 min. Then reconnect battery let it idle for about 15 min to relearn the idle. Then drive around like its not a SHO for about 20 miles. The trans will relearn its self. If your tuned you might want to flash stock for this process. Theres stuff on yub tub about this. Ive done it on a gmc and it really fixed the shifting. Oh and its FREE! Best of luck to ya sir.

Best price for transmission 6f55 that i see is on tasca. Pay a shop to install it or do it yourself. Probably best to drop the K frame. Easy to work on motor and trann y then

Well today I did the whole relearn process after I returned to stock tune. Problem was still there. Drained and refilled transmission and added the shudder stop additive, acted a lot better. So basically I'll be probably be replacing it soon. So far the extreme performance transmission seems the best price. I'll know for sure Monday when I call. Still gonna be 110.00 an hour from the shop to remove and replace lol. Still cheaper than a new SHO.

Well sorry to hear you had no luck. Hopefully they make a beefed up version of this transmission? Being one of the best hp per dollar cars out there they should. Man they take a beating!

So I need to find the info tag on the transmission to get the right one. I found one on the bottom of the bell housing but the vendor said it's not the right one. Lots of numbers and letters but none that match up. So any of you guys have an idea where it may be ? Girlfriend took it to work today so I'll have to look tomorrow.

Send Chad (Irish Pride) or Johnbigdog on the forum a question through the PM, now the conversation function. Top right of the screen envelope. Start typing and screen name should pop up to select. One of them should be able to get you a part number to cross reference. I doubt the xp is SHO but maybe. Are there different transaxles between production years and does it matter for replacement between 10-19? Someone else is doing trans work in some of the other posts in the GenIV section. They also should have part info
