My tranny cooler lines are rotted out and seaping now...Does anybody know where I can get them? And how much $? Or should I just repair them by cutting out rotted section's and putting a single flare union in place I know "Hack" but If they are big $ I just don't have the cash right now and wanted to do a temp repair. I saw where they plug into the tranny and it looks like a pain to get them out of there. There appears to be lots of dirt and rust there. Any tips greatly appreciated...TY...:thankyou: 95 ATX

Also I want to replace my serp. belt.....My car has a different belt on it..it is smaller because original owner by-passed the A/C compressor because it is basically a rotted hunk of steal and serves no purpose now except for extra weight. Is anyone here doing the same thing? If so...Can I get the PN# so I don't have to explain this and get irritated at the AZ parts person, I know that they will give me the longer belt that includes the A/C pulley. I tried to explain this to the AZ parts girl and she went and got me a TIMING BELT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just left the store and decided to deal with the belt noise for a while and the while is up....

I would get a set of good used lines. Patching lines seems to be hit or miss (only a last resort), and if you dump your fluid all at once, you will get stranded at best or ruin the transmission at worst.

Check your ***. We don't get much rust out here on the west coast, so good used lines are available.

Which cooler lines are leaking? The hoses can be replaced with, believe it or not, transmission cooler hose. Autozone/NAPA/Checker usually carries this stuff and its not expensive.

The hard lines can be replaced with used stuff from a car in better shape.

The serpentine belt on mine, which has a/c delete, says 745K6 6PK1890 on it. I think one of those numbers is the length in millimeters or something.

I need to replace the rigid lines that plug into the tranny and from there go to the radiator and are connected to the right side of the radiator.

I was hoping to be able to get new after market ones but if you can't I guess I will go with used.

Thanks for the PN#'s I will call and see if they stock the belt. Yeah the last two numbers I believe are the actual length in mm's.:thankyou:

I used 3/8" rubber hose when I bypassed the factory trans thermoblock and radiator cooler (went to a dedicated external). Also just bring in the old belt to be sure on the length. Btw, unless the pulley bearing is seized on the A/C clutch and is turning freely, you can use a stock belt.

I used 3/8" hose too. Replaced the stock fittings with 1/4" mNPT x 3/8" hose barbs.
