There are two plugs on top of the tranny. These are 1/8" pipe thread plugs. The one closest to the radiator is the line pressure port and is capable of delivering 300 psi. The one to the inside is the EPC test port and can deliver 125 psi.

Chris, you can use the hole you pointed out. For point of reference, it should be directly above the stock transmission cooler fittings.

You've got your power, your source, and the ground. The sending unit should've came with.

*Note, I had to supply my own wire with my Ultra-Lites. I would say 18 awg wire is the minimum to use.*

Right, I have all of those. But I was wondering about the wire a few posts up going from the sender, to the gauge. Can you just use any piece of wire for that? or what? I dont think that I got anything witht he gauge that long to reach from the sender to the gauge itself.

Any piece of wire will do. For the best accuracy the joints should be soldered and sealed with heat shrink tubing.

autozone asile 2. shrink tube (just ask, it is usually black and looks like very thin rubber tubing) and a variety of stock wire in many colors to match your SHO. personally i'm going black and yellow.

hmm, ok thanks. One more question tho, when looking at in the instructions, I dont understand why it says to run a wire from the backside of the gauge to the ignition switch? What is the reason for this? I can understand the balck and white wires are pos and neg for the gauge light, then there is the sender wire, and the ground, but whats the point of the Ignition connection?

The ignition switch is just one place to tap into for power to the gauge. Because besides power for the light you also need power for the gauge since all the sender wire does is send you a reading of the sending unit.

Alright, but what wire should I use? is there a specific colored one?

would it be okay to use the parking light as a tap for the lighting, find another ground, pull the wire for the sender. what have you guys used as the "ignition tap"

I used the power wire for the fog light switch for my light source power. If you have looked at the guide on shotimes.com about doing the foglight mod it tells you what all the colored wires are for, at least on a second generation. Then I had a friend who had a wiring diagram and we found that there is a spot in the fuse box for manual climate control that is unused; so I tapped into that for the power to the gauge itself.

where is this? do you recall? i already tapped my fog light switch for my white faced gauges, and i don't think tapping it 3 more times would be a good idea...

Its along the right hand side of the box. If you feel back there, there is one spot right behind I think the 2nd fuse from the bottom where nothing is plugged in. I would just make sure that you run the wire in front of the parking brake, because I made the mistake of putting it behind and ended up pinching the wire which grounded the power wire and it blew the fuse out.
