i have 1994 sho atx has 87.000 original miles had the 60,000 mile tune done to it at exactly 60,000 when i start car and put it in any forward gear car does nothing at all. like its in neutral. shrug but when i put selector in reverse the car moves fine. has anyone ever had this problem?the shifter moves smooth it dont clunk or slp in any forward gear its just like the car other than reverse. is like its in neutral or park. any or all info is desperately needed.

When my SLO did that exact thing(Except, my reverse didn't work either), the aluminum rod inside was broken... In other words I needed a rebuild. :( I don't mean to send you down the wrong path if that's not your problem... I'm not an expert on tranny's so just throwing my experiences out there. It's interesting that reverse still works on your's though, since the rod is used by it too(I think). That points me to believe that your tranny is salvagable and might not be your problem... Let's hope it's not.
Good luck!

I suppose it could be a problem with your shifter cable shrug In my '93 ATX, at times when you'd put the gear selector into reverse (the indictor in R) it wouldn't actually go into reverse. However, you could play around with the shift lever and it would go into gear. The cable seemed to be loose shrug The tranny was in good shape, though.
