Basically when driving normal it neutral drops in to second gear causing a big ****. And when I
put it to the floor and it redlines there's a pause between first and second gear shrug

I'm no ATX genious, but maybe it's the VSS going out. I've heard that it can cause problems similar to this because when it goes, the computer has no way of recognizing how fast the car is going.

Not to be rude but I believe if you do a search under VSS you'll find many answers to how to replace a VSS and where it is located.

Maybe its just me but I had a hard time trying to follow your post. What was that "neutral" term about. Were you saying that you had a hard shift from 1st to 2nd? If so does it only do it when your car is heated up and at running temp?
If it does then dont rule out the TSS.(transmission speed sensor) or (turbine speed sensor) same thing!
A little more info is necessary to be certain and a pulled code would hammer it in.

He is sayin the shift to second felt like a neutral drop(very hard sudden shift, as if someone was revving the throttle in neutral and "drops" it inro drive) It makes me cringe to even think about it. oh

He should definitey run the codes to be sure its a VSS and not a TSS; good call. Or it may turn out to be the tranny is on its way out all together... squint

Too bad I didn't see this earlier. Your forward clutch piston is most likely cracked, thus requiring a rebuild.

My recommendation would be to flush the fluid, add some Lucas, and drive the **** out of it till it finally fails. I have had the same thing with my '94 since late Nov. and I've put over 3K on it like it is. Just don't take it on any long trips where you're counting on it to reliably get you there and back. And oh, keep the AAA card handy.

SORRY TO HEAR IT WASNT THE TSS OR VSS. DID YOU EVER PULL YOUR CODES OR DID YOU JUST GO AND CHANGE OUT THOSE SENSORS W/O ANY OTHER INFO. THESE ARE PRETTY EXPENSIVE CARS TO OWN IF YOU JUST THROW PARTS AT THEM PURELY BASED ON OTHER PEOPLES OPINIONS... NOT TO MENTION FRUSTRATING.
IF YOU HAVENT YET, PULL THOSE CODES AS THEY GIVE TRANNY TROUBLE INFO TOO. A BLOWN ATX IS A HUGE CHUNK OF CHANGE TO DISH OUT W/O RESEARCHING EVERY AVAIL. OPTION YOURSELF. THE MORE INFO YOU CAN PROVIDE HERE, THE MORE PRECISE AND HELPFULL YOUR REPLIES WILL BE.
IM NOT SAYING THAT YOUR ATX ISNT IN TROUBLE BUT I HAD AT LEAST 4 OR 5 PEOPLE TELL ME MINE WAS ON ITS WAY OUT AND THAT WAS 30000 MILES AGO!
HOPE THIS HELPS
