When I bought my SHO in June, the fellow I bought it from, SAID it had a rebuilt transmission (MTX). I asked what kind of clutch he had, and he said it was above stock (don't think he knew too much about cars in general  ). Anyway it is kind of hard to launch, like if I don't rev it up pretty high it wants to die, but other than that the tranny feels nice and tight. The clutch pedal feels good too. Are all SHO's like this? Is it possible that I have a lightened flywheel ( :D just being optimistic :p ) Also if I let out the clutch too fast without pressing the gas, and the RPM's dip down below 750, the oil light comes on, and the car wants to die (or does) . *crosses fingers and hopes for the best*

My sho does the same thing with the oil light. I have never seen another car's light come on so quickly, but, I did a rod bearing swap and they looked fine. It seems as though this characteristic is common with shos. As for the lack of low end torque, the yamaha motor doesn't do much before three grand, but, it starts making up for it above four.
