tranny help

i had a 40,000 mile on the rebuild tranny put in my atx. umm. o it kicks in hard as **** when you put it into any gear. and when i go to shift manually i punch it then when i get to 6800 i push it forward. but it bounces off the limiter a couple threee times then shifts. If i push it forward at like 4500 then it shifts right on 7000. Please help, ******* me off! Thanks in advance.

check your engine codes first...they will tell you if a sensor is shot, or if the tranny is slipping or malfunctioning an any said gear.

i just had my VSS replaced (got a code for it on the ECU test), my ATX sho was shifting hard, sometimes when it wanted too, and later stalling when driving when it warmed up...and not restarting till cold.
