After reading an article about CV joints in Grassroots Motorsports Im wondering how many people that track their sho's repack their CV joints. With all the heat thats created in the front brakes, i could see the grease flowing out of the joint and into the boot where it wouldnt do much good.

In all the cars I have owned that had CV joints, the only time I ever repacked them was when replacing torn boots. I have never come across a need to do that as normal maint. I may be wrong

My 92 has 225,000 miles and is on the OEM axles and joints, and 3 of the 4 OEM boots. Seen a lot of track days...

I never had any problems with my 89 either...
